School Psychology Intern

As a School Psychology Intern, your role may involve conducting assessments (psychoeducational evaluations, ERMHS assessments, academic evaluations, IEEs, or record reviews for all age levels), providing school-based counseling services, developing training content and resources, or supporting internal company initiatives. This role entails a blend of in-person and remote work and your specific duties will fluctuate throughout the year based on client needs. In-person work consists of case-by-case assignments, designated days of on-campus support, or a combination. The percentage of time working remotely or in-person will vary throughout the year depending on district contracts and needs. Some travel, in California or other states, may be necessary for in-person assignments; potentially involving overnight stays depending on the length of the assignment. You'll receive the required amount of intern supervision as well as  guidance on our unique model and opportunities for collaboration and integration within our supportive team.

 

Opportunities


  • Leading or collaborating in conducting thorough psychoeducational evaluations, educationally related mental health services (ERMHS) assessments, academic assessments, independent educational evaluations (IEEs), and record reviews.
  • Engaging in assessment activities such as student observations, administering and interpreting diagnostic tests, and conducting interviews with parents, teachers, and students.
  • Crafting comprehensive assessment reports with a focus on data-driven insights, functional implications, and personalized, research-based recommendations.
    Collaborating closely with colleagues at Psyched Services, as well as with families and members of the IEP team, to facilitate meaningful outcomes for students.
  • Delivering clear and concise presentations of assessment findings and recommendations during IEP meetings.
  • Conducting virtual or in-person counseling sessions with students of various ages, ensuring consistent and detailed documentation of goal progress.
  • Providing consultation and coaching services to school teams or parents to support positive student outcomes.
  • Researching, planning, and developing high-quality training materials and resources for virtual or in-person delivery.
  • Contributing to company projects and initiatives to further organizational goals.
  • Participating in virtual one-on-one meetings with managers/supervisors, performance reviews, and team meetings, along with both in-person and virtual social team-building activities.
  • Fulfilling any additional duties as assigned to support the team and meet company objectives.

Salary: $25,000 (10 month contract, 4 days per week)
